In War received bad mini-ball through hip made one leg appear shorter than other and he had to wear a special shoe with about a 3 inch heel built on it. (per Andy Smith)

"Adam and Mahala Metts lived in the Prosperity area of Sc. On Jan 1, 1835, Adam Metts sold lan to George Metts on a branch of Camping Creek. The deed was witnessed by John W. Harom, John H. Stockman and Joseph Warner. On November 3, 1836, Adam and Mahala sold a ract of land from the same grant to George Shealy (Nby Deeds S-193).
Adam Metts, Jr. And his family moved to Lafayette Cty., Ms in 1849. Moving west at the time were Smiths, Rikards and other relatives in the group. iIn the trek through South Alabama, several families stopped off in Coosa Cty., Thier Sons, Noah Francis, Henry C., and many grandchildren are buried in the same plot. Levi & Lemuel Metts are Buried in Kingdom Cemetery...........(Last line cut off in book)>"
